Denise was raised in an active Christian home in Westlake, OH, a suburb of Cleveland. She developed her heart for mission attending her church youth group which took yearly domestic mission trips. Denise went on to graduate with a degree in International Business from Grove City College in Grove City, PA. She then spent 15 years doing customer service and outside sales in the field of International Transportation. Eventually, Denise felt the Lord was calling her to be a stay-at-home mom with more time to focus on her family and her work on the mission committee at Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church (CCUPC). After the family moved to New Wilmington, PA, Denise felt another nudge from the Lord. This time her call was to go back to work, combining her past sales experience with her mission experience to further frontier mission in local congregations.
CCUPC was a young church and the mission committee was newly formed when she became a part of that committee. Denise was active in getting CCUPC involved in international mission. In 2005, Denise led a team of ten to Honduras for CCUPC’s first ever mission trip. Denise is now on the mission committee at New Wilmington Presbyterian Church and a member of the Sudan Network Leadership Team in the Shenango Presbytery. Denise has also been involved in World Mission Initiative Conferences and has taken the Perspectives On The World Christian Movement course.
After learning so much on mission committees, Denise is excited to now be a resource for other churches. Denise’s passion is to see congregations participate in making God’s love known to unreached people groups. Denise also supports and encourages our Sudanese friends who educate children and church leaders in Darfur.
